Winter Olympics

Branding

Concept 1

Barcelona - city of rich culture, stunning architecture, vibrant street life, and deep history. For thee first concept, I used the aesthetics of city buildings and the common use of mosaics. This inspired me to create icons symbolizing winter sports, filled in with colorful mosaic shapes.

Two modern logos for Barcelona 2038, featuring abstract geometric designs inspired by the city. The left logo includes a stylized mosaic pattern with the text 'Barcelona 2038' below. The right logo features a geometric shape with a similar mosaic pattern and the same text below.

Concept 2

A logo for Barceló A 2038 featuring stylized flames and text curved around the flames on a light background.

In the second concept I decided to represent the city by showcasing the culture of Spain and their famous national Flamenco dance. I created an illustration of a dancer with flames of fire to highlight the energetic and passionate nature of Spain.

Concept 3

My last concept is inspired by the beautiful and extraordinary architecture style. Antoni Gaudí was a Spanish architect known for his highly imaginative, organic style inspired by nature, religion, and flowing forms. His work often features colorful mosaics, curved lines, intricate details, and structures that seem almost alive. In this logo I represented this “flow” style of buildings and the sea waves.

The goal of this project was to create a brand for the future Olympics Host Bid City. I designed three different concepts for Winter Olympics 2038 that would take place in Barcelona, Spain.

A colorful illustration of a stylized map of Barcelona, with different districts in green, red, and blue. The number 2038 is written above the blue area, and the word "Barcelona" is written below in bold brown letters.
Billboard with the text 'Barcelona 2038', a stylized flame, and five interlinked Olympic rings, set against a clear blue sky.
White T-shirt with colorful patterned sleeves and a logo on the chest reading 'Barcelona 2038' with stylized shoes.
